Description
This rich chocolate and nut brownie recipe will give you super fudgy, dense and gooey brownies that will leave you wanting for more. The nuts add an extra crunchy texture to these brownies which makes it perfect to serve to guests and can be enjoyed at any time.

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 160°C fan-forced (180°C conventional). Grease a 20cm x 30cm baking tin and line it with baking paper, extending over the two long sides.
- Place the sugar, cocoa powder and melted butter into a large bowl and mix together. Whisk in the eggs one at a time. In a separate bowl sift the flour and baking powder together, then fold through the batter. Fold the chocolate and nuts through the mixture.
- Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 35-40 minutes. The brownie should be soft and gooey in the centre. Serve warm with a nice big dollop of cream or ice cream.

- 90g dark cocoa powder
- 250g unsalted butter, melted
- 5 free-range eggs
- 150g/ 1 cup plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 150g dark chocolate (70%), roughly chopped
- 90g/ 2/3 cup salted roasted peanuts, chopped
- thick cream, to serve
- Vanilla Ice Cream, to serve (optional)
